Since today reached the crazy heights of 21 degrees jon chris and I went for a quick visit to Borden Park.
I laid out the bamboo mat and placed Chris down for some tummy time. But because he can only last for one or two minutes before he starts whimpering, I turned him over before he decided to really howl, and what followed was the cutest thing I had ever seen.
Chris was mesmerized by the yellow and green leaves swaying left and right above him. His eyes were wide open with such delight, and his super cute rounded mouth cooed continuously. Here a natural mobile could not compar e to the cheerful but slightly tacky man-made version that spins above his crib. =b

His reaction:

and yet, strangely, sometimes I'm attracted more to bright, neon, gaudy lights and architecture instead of the mountains and sunset. Big, towering, artsy buildings can be a great distraction (great in both senses of the word), but I guess in the end what I saw today at Borden Park could put up some fierce competition for Somewhere Downtown.

Check out the park scene!

yeah, all the green and gold on campus really mesmerized me today too! I laid on the grass for an hour just regaining my never-really-lost tan.
