Chris is now exactly 3 months old and toggling between the smiling
face or the INTENSE STARE face. You’re lucky if you get to see both.
The sentences he’s been hearing for the past few days:
“Don’t forget–I”m your REAL uncle. Everyone else is a FAKE uncle.” - Uncle Julian
“No holding hands until you’re thirty.” - Auntie Stella, responding to
whether Chris (3 months) could hold Hannah’s (11 mos.) hand.
“This cinnamon bun is good. It has no yeast in it. It’s got pecans…” - Auntie Kat, upon jumping into the car next to Chris.
“The ciabatta is better than the baguette. I recommend the ciabatta.” - Auntie Chrissy, inside Capers, pushing Chris’ stroller.
“Yes! Her dress is also from RW&Co! And they’re the SAME colour—”
Auntie Bonnie, suggesting that my dress is eerily similar to someone’s
bridesmaids’ dresses.
“‘We only serve you WILD SALMON.” - Daddy, reading the menu cover at Shiro.
“Aww! A little bear bum!” - Auntie Chrissy
So far Daddy’s been golfing with a red-shirt from the Star Trek Fleet,
Mr. Michael Han, on his bachelor party day, and Mommy’s been dining at
Dinesty with Auntie Chrissy in Richmond and strolling around Oakridge.
So this is where all the brand names are camping out! Gosh. I haven’t
seen so many brand names hanging out together in such a small space.
Chris slept peacefully through the shopping expedition, and then he
awoke in time for dinner with Grandpa at the Shaolin Noodle House.
To date, Chris is probably 17lb and something ounces, and he’s 26
inches tall. He’s still off the charts, according to Dr. Chrissy. He’s
also social smiling; if youi approach him and give him a bit of
attention (especially after a long ’bout of play-by-yourself-time), he
smiles! He lights up and grins - it’s a great reward. Chris is also
trying hard to stand when you hold him up, and he’s sitting in his
bumbo chair, although his head does the Roxbury wobble the entire time.
It’s pretty amusing.
To answer last time’s question, Chris did very well on the airplane! No crying! WE’re so very proud.
Next post: How will Chris find his very first wedding ceremony? Will he
enjoy the milk of a Thomas Haas croissant? we’ll find out!
Update: August 4, 2008
11:12am Chris rolls over! After a full day of unsuccessful rolling onto
his side, Chris finally mastered the roll-over. Too bad he gets stuck
on his face once he does it.
The past weekend was chock-a-block filled with activity.
Chris attended his first ever wedding. Mike Han got married at 10th Ave
Alliance to the beautiful Min Cha, and Chris met some other (korean)
babies. They also get the privilege of sitting in peg perego strollers.
It's a bit much, but it's really funny when all the strollers are lined
up side by side.
According to Jon, Min Cha cried through a majority of the ceremony, and
it wasn't until the very end when Mike finally gathered his wits about
him and handed her that very much-needed tissue. LOL!
Here we see the couple at their dinner reception at Stanley Park. It's
beautiful in there. Have you ever walked in the Rose Garden? I don't
remember having ever done it!
Actually, the weekend would seem much more interesting through pictures than speak, so here we are:
at the wedding reception!
FOUR generations! Chris meets "Tai Gong"
Visiting Coal Harbour with Mom, Dad, Auntie Kat and Grandma (Auntie Kat and Grandma sold separately.)
